As Australia's only full time professional neoclassical company, Melbourne City Ballet has established a strong following throughout Australia. With sharp movements, dazzling costumes and very distinctive vocals, this performance will take audiences to the Spanish town of Seville to experience the passion, betrayal and inevitable loss that is 'Carmen'.

Australian Chamber Choir By The Waters Of Babylon
Thursday 15th June, 11am

Internationally renowned for their tours, with 18 fine hand picked voices performing the master-works of JS Bach. The classic hymn By The Waters Of Babylon is no less potent in the 21st century than it was in 500 BCE. Based around Philip Hayesí 18th century setting of that psalm text which was popularised by Don McClean on his 1971 American Pie Album. The Australian Chamber Choir has commissioned Australian composer, Tom Henry to write a new work on this theme.
